11 Antique Anglo Irish Cut Glass Crystal Whiskey Double Old Fashioned Tumblers
Presented is a wonderful quality set of 11 glass/crystal double old fashioned or
large whiskey tumblers. These glasses date to the late 1800s or early 1900s and
are likely English or Irish. The glasses are beautifully decorated with raised
diamond and recessed arch designs around the sides, emulating the style of
pieces from around the 1780s-1820s. The glasses are quite heavy and well made,
with thick heavy bottoms, the sides are fairly thick as well. These glasses hold
about 12 fluid ounces or 355 milliliters. These are fantastic antique glasses
and would make a very classy addition to any bar.
This set of glasses is in great overall condition. One glass has a small chip
to the rim, which could likely be ground out. There are no other chips, no
cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.
Each glass stands about 4 1/8 tall and measures about 3 3/8 inches in
diameter.
